RESEARCH INTERESTS

As the demand for energy continues to increase so does the need for safe energy storage. Salts offer a nonflammable and electrochemically stable solution made entirely of ions. However, as the concentration of ions in an electrolyte increases, our predictions of its behavior becomes increasingly inaccurate. My research focuses on identifying and defining these nonidealities as ions interact with each other. Similar to how a real gas differs from an ideal gas as pressure increases. I get to do fugacity for salts.
